Deliverance
BY: Deep Shadows

Rolling in silver seas of confusion
Unsure about the past
Uninformed about the future
I drift
Tossed and turned
Like a shipwrecked sailor,
Alone
No light,
Just the vast sea and a life vest,
Barely afloat
Grasping to the orange vest
Like gold to a miser
Unwilling to let it go
Unwilling to drift below
Neptune mat unfolded,
Refusing the funeral march
Perseverance
Tempered with patience
Just as the last strength fails,
Alas
A light,
A sound like a mothers call to a lost child
Swept up in the arms of a wooden woman
The vessel of deliverance
Neptune, forlorn
Stalks back to his throne
Out yet another soul
Just written while online with my friend Kate, i figured it would be the first of my many poem updates coming soon.

Dunno where the idea came from, blame 3 am.

Toodles,
Deep Shadows
