A Shade of  Sisyphus
By: Deep Shadows

Dig in
Hold your ground
Don’t step back
Shove forward

Show it whose boss
Stare it down
Hold your own
Be its master

Life
Trying to shove me back
To the dark places
I have crawled forth from
A final fight
That can never be won

A litany of encouragement
From within
The inner strength
That goddess within

You can do it
I believe in you
You have come to far to let this stop you
You are worth it

Fight back
Fight fire with fire
Give it a dose of it’s medicine
Hit it where it hurts

The strength to go on
Comes in waves
The darkness swarming to collect me
Falters behind
As I roll this boulder uphill

You did it
I am so proud of you
You are Amazing
I knew you could do it
Sometimes, I get myself down and i have to remind myself of some things, the voice within has to remind the body that it can do it.

For those of you who don't know who Sisyphus is, In Greek Mythos, he was a sinner punished to Tartarus to roll a boulder up a hill for all eternity, never resting, never getting it to the top, always pushing on. [link]

Sometimes, I relate to Sisyphus more that i would like to imagine.
